Thank you,
Webmaster

Just want to say to Amani I really enjoyed watching you play for the Giants and we would not have made it to 2 Super Bowls, and won one, without you.  Appreciate all you gave for the Giants, as a fan and resident of NY and NJ.  You are part of the reason we can be proud to be Giants fans. D

Amani: I appreciate both your support, D, and your taking the time to e-mail me.

Finally, someone says what everyone (or most) thinks of Ray Lewis! He is the biggest phony in the world! Thanks for calling him out!!..
I think of the family that lost a family member because of him and his buddies...he shows no remorse! It makes me sick!!!
Keep up the Great Work!I always listen to you when you are on.(I'm a Eagles fan...so you know I must have a lot of respect for you)  Thanks Again!! J.A.S.
Amani:  Thanks for your support. I wanted to share some of my experiences over 13 years in the league and some of the BS I had to
weave my way through. So I just wanted to impart some of what I have learned to the fans.

A note to say I couldn't agree with you more about Ray Lewis. He is a self centered, self aggrandizing, self promoting hypocrite and all of his attention grabbing antics
are obnoxious and annoying. I believe he is lying about not using the deer antler supplements, his new found Christianity nauseates me (because of his connection to the
murder in Baltimore, 6 children by 4 women and spousal abuse charges), and when he prostrated himself on the field surrounded by hundreds of photographers after
the New England playoff game I was disgusted. Your characterization of him becoming a caricature of himself for the purposes of self promotion was spot on.
Intelligent, insightful and accurate commentary. Well done- D. McD.

Amani:  Thank you.  Whenever I see someone stepping out and giving themselves more credit than they deserve, I want to say something.

Amani, I have the amani toomer foundation banner that was hanging at the old giant stadium ( 7' x 8') section 227. It is hanging in my sports room taking up the whole wall. Thanks for the memories!! Regards R

Amani: Thanks for taking the time to e-mail. I appreciate it.

Hey Amani, I was DLS class of '94 and took a French class with you when you were a senior and I was a soph. I also went to just about all the football games and kept score at the hoops games when Ness was coach. Was awesome seeing you succeed as an athlete from the early days. Congrats on a great career in the NFL and best of luck in your business and charitable endeavors in retirement! E. R.

Amani: Thanks for the shout-out. I appreciate your support.

Amani: Thank you for your support, J. from Jersey.

You and mark bavaro were my favorites ever for ny God bless you and thank you for your memories Regards, B. W.

Amani: Thanks for writing, B. and especially thanks for putting me in such good company.

Happy New Year! Welcome 2012. The Fan Club will be out in full force tonight. AND we will be bring cookies :). Feeling very good about the game tonight and the possibilities the New Year Brings. Just let me know
when you need a personal assistant. I will make myself available.Mr. Hanlon will be so very jealous. See you after the game.L. O'K.
Amani:  I didn’t see this until after the game.  The cookies were delicious and I love cookies.  Thank you.

Amani, I saw your postgame analysis on channel 9 and thought it was spot on!!!They keep relying on Eli to pull them out in the last quarter!  The
offense needs to be more consistent and the defense needs to step it up when situation calls for them to do so.  I even saw an article in one of
the local papers expressing displeasure that Eli DIDN'T have ANOTHER 4th quarter comeback??  2007 wasn't THAT long ago...Did everyone suddenly
forget how to play football in NY?? A.

Amani: Thanks for emailing. I really apreciate the feedback, A.

Hi Amani,I heard your interview on ESPN radio yesterday afternoon.
I am the father of a PSU alum who graduated this past May.
She is very upset over the scandal that has rocked Happy Valley.
Others that I have spoken to also feel the same way. Heartbroken
is the word that I think describes how it best.

My daughter is not a football fan. She doesn't know the difference between a
touchdown & a first down.  She didn't go there because of football. She didn't even buy tickets in her senior year.
My daughter is involved, however. She volunteered a few times at Sandusky's Second Mile.
She was heavily involved and committed to THON, the largest student philanthropy in the world, I believe. This student effort raised almost $30 million in the four years that she was an undergrad. Who were they raising money for? KIDS!!Pediatric cancer research & care for kids & support for their families.

I heard not a word about this during your interview or during any media coverage of this tragic story. They showed the knee jerk reaction of students when Paterno was fired. I'm sure you're aware of the special place JoePa holds in the heart of these students.
Unfortunately for the students a harsh reality is playing out. Something beyond their comprehension!!

You want to take away football. Who does that punish? The students, alum as well as the athletes themselves. JoePa is gone. I'm sure his entire staff will also be let go as soon as this season ends, but they'll survive.
They'll get jobs elsewhere, even McQueary. JoePa will collect his pension. This is the way it always is.
Jim Tressel is coaching in the NFL now, while the mess he left behind at OSU is borne by the student body who were blameless in the events that ended in his dismissal.

Football & all sports should not be as important in society as it is. College should be about learning & preparing
for life's work, but athletics plays an important role in a schools spirit. PSU as well as OSU & your alma mater Michigan are great institutions and have graduated countless thousands who have benefitted society. This scandal should be used as a teaching tool, not as a reason to punish the innocent as you want to do.

If the students of Penn State set their minds to it, they could raise millions to prevent child abuse. I hope that will be a direction they go in.

I am a huge Giant fan. You're probably the best receiver that they have had in my lifetime and I go back to Del Shofner & Homer Jones. I was truly disappointed in your comments & your solution yesterday. It's a negative
method, punishing those that were not involved.  J. B.

Amani: I don’t want to see Penn State; I don’t want to hear about them; I don’t know what they stand for anymore.

Usually sports brings out the best in people but this time apparently those involved thought the Penn State image was bigger than turning in an alleged pedophile.  They don’t deserve to have a football program if they think they’re above human decency.

No one is asking that Penn State be vigilantes, they’re just asking them to do the right thing and report these allegations to the police.  If you don’t say NO to a situation like that, then you’re saying yes and are complicit.

As for the argument about punishing the fans by taking away the football program, would they really root for the team no matter what?  Are they really that shallow?

It really bothers me that this was allowed to happen.  Football programs aren’t more important than human decency.

It was a pleasure joking with about the marathon.  toughest thing i  ever did.  i have to be honest with you, i started in third wave at  10:40.  You passed me fairly early and you looked great.  when i read  later you
struggled at the end, i felt a little better!  :-)  I ran a  4:40 and that last 3 miles were killer.  thanks for signing my son's mini  football after the game. best of luck with broadcasting, you were great on  boomer's radio show just before the marathon last year.  if you ever run  one again, i am sure you will be under 4.  A

Amani:  Thanks for e-mailing me, A. It’s good to hear from you and I appreciate the kind words.  My goal will be to break 4 hrs. in my next marathon.

Mr. Tumor, I think you were great as a receiver. I also think you are doing a great job with the sports on weir my 9. There is one thing. They are over doing the make up on the sports show. See if you can revise please. Keep up the good work.  True Blue, B

Amani:  Thanks for watching the show but the makeup artists are professionals.  They know exactly what they’re doing so I don’t think I should tell them how to do their jobs.

Hi Amani, How are you? Hope your well! I have a question. I was wondering how I could introduce Jow to some players. I know its the perfect product for athletes! Is there someone I should contact within the Giants organization, someone specific? What could I do to bring it to their attention?   thanks, I appreciate it, I'm still making great progress. Its now for sale in NYC! I've also made it into a Gel. yeay!   I hope your having a great summer so far. speak soon  L.
P.S. My offer to send you liniment or gel is still there...

Amani: L. The best thing to do would be to contact the Giants, specifically Ronnie Barnes, and talk with him about it.   Good luck.

Hello Amani!  This is W. R.  You may or may not remember me, but I worked as a ball boy up at Summer Training Camp in Albany, NY when you played for the Giants. My father was also on the coaching staff; J. R. It is great to be in contact with you once again.

How are you? How is everything? I was also wondering if possibly you could help me out. I have just graduated from college and I am currently looking into employment opportunities in the sports industry field. I have experience working in the media aspect so I was wondering if you would possibly have any networking connections for future use.

Thank you so much Amani. I know that you are an extremely busy individual, so please get back to me at your convenience only. I'm also back in the New York area and I would be open to meet up one day
and talk if you are available.  Sincerely, W. R.

Amani: Yes, you could contact my agent, Reed Bergman, because I think he could help you.

Amani, thanks for coming to Iona breakfast today.  My kids and I enjoyed hearing you speak, and appreciate the time that you took to speak to us as a group and to me individually as a fellow alumni.  Also congrats on the newborn twins.  Hope that you get some sleepers.  Mine never did, and stilldon't so have my fingers crossed for you.  Thanks again and best wishes. PS:  Go blue! M.L.F.

Amani: I am finally beginning to get some sleep now but they still wake up very early in the morning.  Thanks for asking. Hope you get to sleep through a night soon too.

Amani  We met at the Sirius xm NFL radio network area. I gave you the max one nutritional black box capsules.
Wanted to follow up with you . Working with many former athletes and coaches . Working great for me .
Helping fund my foundation . Giving me a call when available , Thks  R. G. III
Amani:  I’m sorry but I don’t remember receiving your product.

Hello Amani, My brother I. and I met you last February 2010 @ the Dash Gallery in Tribeca before the grand opening.
We spoke for awhile about art and you really enjoyed the piece that is attached.
Not sure if you made it to the grand opening or not, but it was extremely successful.
You mentioned that you would like to come back and spend some more time discussing the pieces with my brother.
Since then my brother has gone on to do some more amazing work and he has several shows lined up.
The painting that you were interested in is still available.  Would also be great to do some commission work for you.
Do you have a better email or phone number    Thanks. G.
Amani:  Thanks for contacting me but I’m afraid I’m not in the market for any art work right now.

Hey, Amani It’s your cousin Brenton "Hammer" Green, Uncle Bill's son. The
Comment was the only way of contacting you. I just wanted to say what's up?

Amani: Hey, what’s up with you?  It’s good to hear from you and we’re doing fine here.

First Off I would like to thank you Amani for all the Great memories , and moments you had in your career . You are my favorite Giant of all time , I still rock #81 on Game Days . When you guys won the Super Bowl I was on cloud 9 , and so happy for you and Strahan , both of you guys always gave 110% every time you stepped on the field. My question for you however is if you have ever given any thought into becoming a receivers coach for the Giants or possibly another team . A receiver as talented and smart as yourself would probably have a lot to offer younger guys in this league ?   Thank You, D.P.

Amani: I have definitely thought about it but the thing that’s holding me back is how much time the coaches put into it.  They lose touch with their kids and I just had twins.  Maybe some time when the twins are older, I might consider it but for now I just enjoy being around the game.  I’m doing the broadcasting thing and also I'm really enjoying being a fan.  Now I look for big trends rather than just the X’s and O’s.  Now, I like getting into the human aspect of the game too, the reality show part.

Just wanted to say on this super bowl sun you are missed and still thought of as a GREAT PLAYER. Thanks for the memories. B.R.

Amani:  Thank you for your continued support and for taking the time to e-mail me.

Toomer,  I'm a maize & blue man like you.  I saw you at the big house and on most other games away from Ann Arbor, and of course with the Giants. I heard you on ESPN radio today regarding what Michigan is and how it needs
to be -- you are so right. Michigan is certainly not like Florida.

If you agree with the following statement, please make it known and soon asou can, as loud as you can, in as many ways as you can:

Harbaugh is a great coach but if you saw him win the other night you saw a coach that loves his players, is their friend and above all their teacher and their mentor.  He's not going to be able to be that way in the NFL.  He can't recruit there, and he loves doing that, and the relationships are so very different.  He'll miss so much being a mentor and a teacher that within a couple of years he'd wish he'd taken the Michigan job, but it will be too late.

If Dave Brandon hires a decent coach, Michigan won't be open again for a very long time and both Harbaugh and all the Michigan Nation will be worse off for it.  JH can become the Yost of modern times and establish a dynasty the likes of which may never be surpassed.

Call him if you can and tell him that he can't give up being a teacher and a mentor.  He'll be miserable without that. Besides, if it comesto money, you know Michigan will make it all happen - Brandon even said that much today.

Thanks Toomer.  God Bless and thanks for being such a Michigan Man.   You're very much loved for it.  L.

Amani:  I’m sorry but I don’t think there was anything I could have said to influence Harbaugh.  I think the “handwriting was on the wall.”  The 49ers were willing to pay; he already has a home in the Bay Area and he wouldn’t have to disrupt his family.

Hi Amani, I am a big fan of yours and have been for years so I thought I would pass my blog on to you that I posted on the Giants web site, hope thats ok with you. We miss having you on our team, you were truly a play maker and a stalwart to lean on!   K.

Amani:  K, I really appreciate your support but I don’t think the Giants have any interest in getting me back.  While I would enjoy playing on game day, my body would probably hate it the rest of the week because I’m not in football shape.

Dear Mr. Toomer: I want to start off this email by saying you are one of my favorite New York Giants of all time. I am writing you this email to suggest that you put on the pads for one more year and help out the Giants' depleted receiving core. You just ran the marathon, we both know you can do it. Please, we need your help.  Sincerely, V. S.

Amani: Oddly enough we just discussed that in the current interview that was posted today.  I said that I don’t think the Giants want me back and I have moved on also.  But I also said that, even though I wouldn’t really want to play again, I would do it for the Giants if they asked me.

Amani, Even though you are in marathon shape rather than football shape, I  know you could help out Big Blue.  Any chance of a half season comeback?

Even if not, thanks for all those great seasons--in my 40 years of  watching Giants football, you are my favorite receiver (though to be  honest, until recently there wasn't much to choose from!).  I can  still see you catching the gamewinner in my corner of the end zone to  ruin the Broncos perfect record.  And the 2002 offense was the best  Giants offense ever--if only we had a long snapper that year!  A  great, classy career.  Best, A.

Amani:  Thank you.  I really do appreciate the support but I’ve moved on as have the Giants.  I’m already working two jobs

WE need you Amani! You and Eli have the chemistry and you know you can still ball :)  P. M. W.

Amani: Thanks for the vote of confidence, P. but it isn’t in the cards.  The Giants have resigned Derek Hagen and he’s a good player.

hi amani, congrats on your marathon! i dont know how you ran for 4 hours... :) hope your well l.

Amani: Thanks. L., I actually enjoyed it except maybe the last three miles, when my legs struggled.

Amani, It's AP.  Saw you on face book wanted to add you as a friend.Just signed up..lol..I am late with this computer stuff.  You still living in NY?  I am living in Fiji..starting a charter business.  Hope all is well,AP

Amani:  WOW!  Fiji!  Yeah, I’m still in NY and definitely add me on face book.  I’d love to catch up the next time you come to New York

Amani, I was out of town yesterday and therefore unable to cheer for you along 4th Avenue in Brooklyn, but as a lifelong Giants fan, and a big fan of yours, I'm so proud of what you accomplished.    I wish I could afford a fraction of the $20,000 that you raised for the NYRR Youth Foundation, but I'll certainly be contributing what I can to them this year in your honor.  Way to go!  E. S.

Thanks for the kind words, E.  And it isn’t the amount of money that you contribute that matters, it’s that you go to the trouble to contribute at all.  Thanks.

Hi Amani, I've been a Giant fan since the late 50's and followed your career with big blue. Thanks so much for all your hard work on and off the field.  I watched the show after the Panthers game and enjoyed your insightful perspective.  I did not enjoy your co-host though.  I think the show should feature you as the anchor host, and replace Mr. Saltzberg.  Just one opinion.  Keep up the great work. A.C.

Amani: Thanks for the vote of confidence, A. but I’m happy with my present role.

Hi Amani, Just wanted to congratulate you on your 2010 Alumni Man of the Year!  You have always been one of my favorite Giants and it couldn't have gone to anymore more deserving.  Best of luck in all your future endeavors.  J.T.

Amani:     Thank you.  I appreciate your support.

Hi Amani, this is L. S. R. I don't know if you remember me. We trained together in Nyack. I used to teach the 12-1 class. I read on your website that you now have twins!! Congratulations. My son R. is now 6! I was wondering if you remember my liniment? It used to be Winner's Edge Dit Da Jow. I simply call it Jow now. I still make it! Now that I have a 6 year old to help feed and educate I've been focused on getting it out there. I was wondering if you had any advice for me? Or an opinion about Jow? Anything at all that can possibly help me expand?

Amani:  Sure, I remember you and your liniment. I think you need to mainstream your product more because I think most people will just look at it and write it off. The name should explain what it does, otherwise they’ll go buy Ben Gay, a product they already know.
